Repairing a compter in target mode

I need to be able to do a hardware test on a MBP -2011 115" 10.13.6 - firewire connectioed
I can not boot the unit as of today. It goes into a reboot loop or hangs on booting. I am guessing it is a GPU issue.

How can I accomplish this?
