How to log in after booting from eDrive?

I successfully created an eDrive from my boot volume onto an external USB drive. I can mount it and reboot from it. HOWEVER, I am presented with a login screen that wants my username and password, and my standard login for my Mac isn't working. Wassup?

I'm using TTP 13.0.1 on macOS 10.15.7.
