Prior to the 8.0.3 update I didn't have an eDrive on my computer because it wouldn't install on a FileVault protected drive. After I installed 8.0.3, though, I noticed that it offered me the option of installing an eDrive. So I did, and it seems to work. I then read the manual, and it still says that an eDrive cannot be installed on a FileVault protected drive. Have I created a potential problem here, or is this just a case of the manual not having caught up with changes in the app?

Is there ever any reason to run File or Volume optimization on an SSD, or are theses tools only useful for spinning drives?
The answer in the thread "TTP 8.0.3 & El Cap 10.11.1 Create Bootable Drive Fail" below seems to suggest that the Protogo included with 8.0.3 has not yet been updated to work with El Capitan. Is this true, and if so, when will the updated Protogo be available?
