I've been using TechTool since version 1 and found that older files aren't automatically removed when upgrading to a new version. This is rather disappointing. At least you should provide the user an option to have TechTool, once a new version is run the first time after installing, remove all preferences files and library files that are associated with the older versions (in case they're not used by the new version). I found my internal drive littered with Micromat related files!
