Crash on Searching Directory Backups

Running High Sierra, 10.13.6. When I try to search a Directory Backup for a drive I accidentally erased in Disk Utility, I will get a OS prompt saying that TechTool wants to install a new helper program, enter my password. Then, Techtool briefly displays a percentage completion screen, and then crashes.
