TechTool Protection - SLOW

The latest (9.0.1) TechTool Protection is very sluggish on my MacPro 2013 running 10.11.6. The System Preference stalls and there are numerous beachballs every time I try and do anything with TechTool Protection. I have removed and reinstalled the TechTool Protection. Still no go - sluggish and not responsive. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Volume Rebuild Failed - Insufficient Work Space error

I was trying to rebuild my primary HD as I have done periodically. It consistently failed with "Rebuild Error Encountered / Insufficient Work Space To Continue". I had just installed a new eDrive with updated OS and Tech Tools Pro.

TechTool Pro7 Ver 7.0.4 (998-4af11f4)

Mac Pro4.1
Quad Core
16 GB RAM
eDrive 12.13 GB Capacity, 4.82 GB available

Unable to make new eDrive

I wanted to move the location of my eDrive (created with TTP 9.01), so I used the Remove Drive option in the eDrive tool.

I want to create a new eDrive at the new location, but no Source or Destination options are populated in the popups. In addition, the Remove eDrive button is still active. (I've tried re-removing, but this makes no difference.)

Surface scan report export does not include bad block numbers

as described above, when I have done a surface scan on a particular drive it reports that it found 80 bad blocks.

So I go to Reports, click on the job and 'Save As'

The report that is exported has 'NA' listed for filenames affected by the bad blocks, but no numbers of the bad blocks for me to forward to the supplier for proof. The disk in question is a Promise Pegasus R4 with 4x1tb disks in raid 5 config

After upgrading from TechTool 8 to Tech Tool 9 I have the problem that I can not use the Directory Backup and the Trash History in the TechTool Protection System Preferences. I am unable to configure this because it is only grey and I can not make a hook there.
Could you anybody please help me? Otherwise I have to return TechToo 9 and work again with TechTool8.

Getting repeated message that installation fails. Running OS 10.11.6 on a MacBook Pro Retina (mid-2015) with SSD drive. TechTool Pro 8 ran fine. Have restarted and find same result with no other apps running during the installation.

Can't do a Volume Rebuild

I guess my question is... How much free space is needed to do a Volume Rebuild?

I have a MBP running OSX 10.11.6 It has a 1TB SSD with 573.2 GB free. When I try to run volume rebuild it stops during step 2 and says I don't have enough space. My E drive is located on a 2nd 2TB drive connected by USB

TTP 8.0.5 - computer Volume missing from Tests and Tools windows

I've been using TechTool since 2008, and it's done superbly until several weeks ago. I'm on an iMac, and both the iMac and TechTool had been fully up-to-date. I was running TTP 8.0.4 just fine, until some time in June. Then suddenly my Volume was missing from both Tests and Tools. I could only run the suite of tests "Run Check Computer" but could not run any TOOLS. I can't create an eDrive, either, because it's saying "No source volume found." I contacted Micromat and had lengthy emails regarding this, but it has not been fixed. Micromat said that TTP can't run Tools on an encrypted disk, and to decrypt the disk and try running TT again. They also guided me through an uninstall and reinstall of the app, but that didn't work. I consulted with an Apple technician for roughly an hour, as well, and my computer should be fine and has been running perfectly fine, otherwise. They said to try Micromat's suggestion, to decrypt my disk. My disk has always been encrypted, but I tried this suggestion. It did not resolve the problem.I haven't changed settings on my computer, in terms of what else might be causing this problem. I don't know what else to do. It seems unwise to pay an additional $40.00 for TTP 9 if I can't be certain that it will resolve the problem. It's so disappointing, given that TTP has been a very useful app all these years.

Bootable partition with TT9, Atomic, and Super Duper... how?

$

So, it appears Protogo will let me run Atomic and SuperDuper if I choose a Basic system install, but won't install on a partition. Atomic and SD won't run on Minimal, which is a bummer because I want Atomic to have access to as much RAM as possible. So I can get the apps I want that way, but not on a partition, and with a fatter OS ram requirement than I'd like.

TT9 eDrive will install on a partition, but it's apparently a limited OS (I assume similar to Protogo's Minimal) and won't run the other apps... or any other apps, as far as I can tell.

What's the best way to accomplish a bootable partition (really don't want to reformat my entire 1TB drive to add a 30GB partition) with limited OS ram requirements, but still able to run Atomic and SuperDuper?

SMART failing on iMac

Ran tech tool pro 9.1 and everything passed except SMART... after surfing the Internet, I am left wondering if this is an actual error or just something about SMART overall.

Attached is a png of the results of the tests.
Could "Reallocated Sectors Count & Reallocation Event Count be actual failures or just a warning that a 1TB drive has a typical spread of 'bad blocks'?

Protogo hangs while creating flash drive

$

I bought, downloaded and installed TechTool Pro 9 this morning. I open the app, select Tools from the Mode menu, and click on TechTool Protogo. I select one of the available configurations for my 4GB thumb drive, and it says it will take 2.91GB. I select the device, and click on "Build TechTool Protogo Device."

It starts well, everything looks like it is working, and then it just hangs on "Installing System Software." I've waited over an hour, and nothing. I can see the drive mounted, and there are system files on it. There is also an Applications folder containing App Store, Safari and Utilities.

I tried creating my own custom configuration, and get the same error.

I'm running MacOS 10.11.6, and I have tried running Protogo from a separate user account that I keep for testing, as well as my usual account.

Note: When the attempt from the second account failed, I tried to log out, but Protogo blocked the logout and would not quit. I had to force-quit the application.

Any suggestions? Thank you!
