File Structures unusual attributes on .plist files

The File structures test in TT 9.6.3 shows 'Unexpected Character P at line 1' for all .plist files.
I assume this slows the scan, but my understanding that .plist is a common Mac file.
Is this a problem that can be fixed? I've seen this in various versions of TT

TechTool Pro 9.6.2 and NewerTech battery

So, I installed a new NewerTech battery into my 13-inch MacBook Pro unibody and, just for the sake of argument, ran the TechTool battery test. The Battery Check Results show Passed with a condition of Normal BUT, under failures, it lists Cell Imbalance, Discharge FET, Safety Over-Voltage, Externally Indicated Failure.

I thought that was kind of odd (the internal Apple indicators are that the battery is fine also) so I tested another identical computer with a slightly older NewerTech battery and it shows exactly the same results.

So, what's up with that?

SMART Warning for Command Time Out (#188)

Have an external 6 GB La Cie desktop hard drive used for Time Machine backups showing a SMART warning. Running OS v10.13.4 on an iMac with TechTool Pro v9.6.3. Running the SMART tests for this drive shows a Command Time Out (#188) warning but all the supplemental tests from LaCie, Disk Warrior, and Desk Utility indicate the drive is functioning properly. Initially thought that the drive was just running hot so put an external supplementary fan blowing on it to cool it down significantly but am still showing the warning from TTP.

Should I be concerned since the other tests show the drive as functioning normally?

Just purchased and tried TechTool Pro 10 on a Firewire Hard Drive that has High Sierra 10.13.4 and the process failed.

There was no detailed explanation of what went wrong or how to fix it.

TechTool Pro 10 Volume Rebuild memory leak?

After getting a message from Volume Structures on my external hard drive, I tried running Rebuild Volume. After 2.5 hours still in the Precheck phase, I noticed that my system memory went from 32 GB to 3 GB. Even after freeing up some memory, TechtoolPro 10 was using over 16 GB of memory, and that started to decrease slowly too. See the attached screenshot.

TTP 1.0.2 Remote not working - using same Apple-ID

I'm using newest TTP 10.0.1-4121 and on the iPhone TTP Remote 1.02. Both devices share the same Apple-ID and are connected to iCloud Drive. Nevertheless there is no way the the test results from the Mac are arriving on the iPhone.
Please advise.

Upgrades for TTP8 no longer include 3 license?

In trying to find out how many computer I can install TTP 10 on, I ran across several posts that said upgrading from 7 to 8 included 3 computers and when buying 9 it includes 3 computers.

I have version 8 and am looking at 10. When I went to purchase, it says it is only for one computer, same with the upgrade from TTP7 to 10.

Has this always been the policy for Intermediate and Legacy upgrades?

TechTool Pro 10 Crashes Every Time I Try To Open It!

I just purchased TechTool Pro 10 for Mac yesterday. I am running Apples's latest operating system. When I tried to open it for the first time, it crashed. I tried again and the same thing happened. So, I decided to do a restart and see if that made any difference. Nope! It crashed again.

I have never had a problem with a previous version of TechTool Pro. Now I buy their latest version and I can't even open it. I have sent emails to both Micromat sales and support, and have yet to hear anything back. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper!

Is anyone else experiencing this problem and/or can you help me with the problem? This is really infuriating!

Techtoll Protection Preference Pane - still fails to install

I had hoped that with TTP 10 the failure of any of the "features" to appear on the TTP Protection Preference Pane seen with version 9 (all the way through 9.6.3 and including numerous betas) would have been corrected. I installed TTP10 today and once again the TTP Protection Panel remains empty. I am most reluctant to repeat the multiple attempts I went through with version 9.6 to get the Protection Panel to install properly. What's wrong?

iMac (21.5 inch late 2013(, Mac OS 10.13.5.

This is not a technical issue, but I get no response to multiple inquiries via Micromat sales. I updated to 9.6 less than a week before !0 was released. If I would have known I would have waited, but I had just found out about 9.6. Paying for another upgrade so soon after the first seems grossly unfair. Most software companies allow for free upgrades for users that have purchased even a few months previously to a new release. If Micromat wants to move toward a subscription model, they should do that, I might even support it. But penalizing customers for supporting their products is not a good way to do business.

Just installed TechToolPro 10 a few minutes ago. First use was to repair permissions, halfway through programme crashed.

TechToolPro10 another crash

Again problems for a second time already. All this within an hour of buying and installing the new programme.
Running the 'check computer' suite of tests and crashed when finishing the sensor test (previous tests, memory, fans etc. ran ok). Don't think I am goin to be able to trust this new version 10 of the programme, version 9 was more stable and reliable.
